One of the proudest moments I have ever had on stage, this was recorded the night we opened for Sonata Arctica to a crowd of approximately 800 people or so. This was the last song of our set. The story goes that just before the song started, I heard a small group of people chanting something. At first, I thought it was keyboard die, keyboard die. We launched into the song, and then as I was unplugging gear, I heard it again, only I now figured out what it was. They were chanting Keyboard Guy, Keyboard guy. and thus, my nickname was christened. When I finished rolling up wires, I grabbed my cane, which I kept behind the keyboard stand out of view and began to head off stage. When the crowd saw this, they cheered and chanted even louder, Keyboard Guy, Keyboard Guy. I went backstage and stayed for a moment before finding myself being lead out again. I walked out in front of the barrier and everybody in the front began slapping my hand and chanting Keyboard Guy. It was one of the biggest highlights of my performing life and a moment I will never forget. So, I post this song here, because, well, why not?
